ANPA and especially the joint Show Committee thank the judges for their acceptance of our invitation to judge. Our deepest gratitude is expressed to those fanciers who have made it possible for us to have this fine panel of international judges. SHOW CONDITIONS: 1) Old birds must be ringed with a ring of the correct size issued by ANPA only. All young birds must be ringed with a "07" ring of the correct size issued by ANPA and must be entered in the Young Bird classes provided. The only exception to this will be for birds entered in Classes for Racing Homer- Show Type. As dual purpose birds, entries will be accepted of birds ringed with ANPA rings or bonefide Australian racing rings only. Only birds ringed with the correct ring will be accepted for exhibition. 2) Exhibitors and spectators must keep well clear while judging is in progress. All will be allowed reasonable access to observe judging. Any person not complying with a judge or stewards direction during judging will be requested to leave the pavilion until after judging. 3) At no time after birds are penned can they be handled without permission. Approval will be granted by the Show Committee only. If granted a steward will be in attendance. 4) The Committee will not be held responsible for any loss or injury sustained to any exhibit though every care will be taken. Security will be provided for the duration of the Show. 5) In all circumstances the Judges decision will be final, with no provision for appeal or disputes. Judges may withhold placing's, awards, trophies or sashes at their discretion. 6) Any exhibit deemed sick or carrying vermin of any description, the owner will be instructed to remove the bird or birds from pavilion. 7) If any exhibit is disqualified from competition, all fees will be forfeited. 8) Exhibitors are responsible for all freight arrangements. 9) Entries will only be accepted from financial individual members of ANPA, or the Ipswich Pigeon Specialist Club Inc. 10) Junior exhibitors must be aged at least 5 years and under 16 years on the day of the show. Please note that the Juniors are not permitted to exhibit the same breed as a senior person living at the same address as the junior, regardless as whether that person is showing at this show or not. To exhibit in Junior classes junior exhibitors must attend the show and pen their own exhibits. SHOW AWARDS NATIONAL CHAMPION AWARDS All Breeds Listed (printed in bold, upper case and underlined) in the schedule will be considered for the award of National Champion and will receive the ANPA National Champion Certificate provided the judge considers the birds to be of sufficient standard to hold the title of National Champion Award. ANPA sponsored trophies will be available for all breeds subject to there being ten (10) exhibits and entered by two (2) or more exhibitors. An ANPA sponsored certificate will be presented to the winning exhibit regardless of the number of entries. NATIONAL YOUNG BIRD AWARDS ANPA will award a trophy to the best Young Bird subject to there being eight (8) or more exhibits shown by two (2) or more exhibitors. BEST OPPOSITE SEX AWARDS The Committee will award a trophy to the Best Opposite Sex of each breed where there are 30 exhibits or more. Best Opposite Sex awards will be made to other breeds where donations are received. BEST JUNIOR EXHIBIT ANPA will award a trophy to the Best Junior Exhibit in each breed subject to there being eight (8) or more junior exhibits. All Juniors participating in the National Show will receive a memento. ANPA will also award a trophy for the Best Overall Junior Exhibit There will be a trophy for the Runner-up Best Junior Exhibit NB: The Best Junior Exhibit in each breed will be considered for the respective Best of Breed Awards, and will be judged by the Breed Judge. Entries in the Junior Classes should include a 'J' alongside the respective class number and indicate the junior exhibitor's age. Junior exhibitors must be aged at least 5 years and under 16 years on the day of the show. Please note that the Juniors are not permitted to exhibit the same breed as a senior person living at the same address as the junior, regardless to whether that person is showing at this show or not. SPECIAL AWARDS and ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS ANPA and the Ipswich Pigeon Specialist Club Inc. would like to express their gratitude for the support given by various individuals and clubs. Further donated awards will be appreciated and should be received by the Show Secretary by 1st May 2008 to allow acknowledgment in the show catalogue. Cash donations will be applied to the cost of purchasing the ANPA “Best of Breed” “Best Young” and Best opposite sex sash, where appropriate. Persons donating $30 or more can nominate a breed, and provided that breed has not already been taken, their donation will be recognised by an endorsement on the actual trophy ie “Donated by........” Unless otherwise directed, where the nominated breed has been taken the committee will apply the donation to another breed until all trophies have been taken. All Donations will be recognised by a mention in the catalogue. Specialist clubs and individuals are welcome to provide additional trophies for colour classes or any other category that is not provided for by ANPA. However, because of time limitations it is not practical to present these additional trophies at the official function on Saturday. PRESENTATION DINNERWill be held on the Ipswich Show-grounds Reception Centre (capacity 200) only metres from the show pavilion. There is only seating capacity for 200. This will be held on Saturday evening 26/07/2008 and will include the official trophy presentation. Pricing will be advised in the schedule.

Virgin Blue: Virgin Blue will not allow Pigeon boxes to be brought on as luggage. All bird boxes must go as freight through Patrick's. Ensure you pre book & get a price as it can get very expensive.
